General about MOBIKO:
In order to be able to use MOBIKO, so-called first-party cookies must be authorised in your browser. These cookies are technically necessary and if you have blocked these cookies, you will not be able to log in. This applies to both the mobile MOBIKO app (mobile.mobiko.net), which is optimised for use on a smartphone, and the MOBIKO web app (app.mobiko.net), which is optimised for use on a PC.
First-party cookies are cookies that are set by the website you are currently on. They are therefore not so-called third-party cookies, where data is passed on to third parties and which are usually used for advertising purposes.
Different systems handle first-party cookies differently. We cover the two most common ones here and explain how Chrome and Safari handle these cookies. If you use a different browser, please find out how first-party cookies are handled in this case.
First-party cookies with Safari
- In Safari, first-party cookies cannot be manually blocked or allowed. Safari checks whether these cookies can be used for tracking, which is mostly used for advertising purposes. If the cookies cannot be used for tracking, they are allowed. If the cookies could be used for tracking, Safari blocks them unless the user has given their consent. The cookies that MOBIKO uses are not tracking cookies. These should therefore be authorised by Safari.
